Margaret & Daniel’s wedding day was a beautiful family centred affair, that I so enjoyed photographing.  I know Margaret from our school day’s in St. Louis, and I was delighted to photograph her wedding.  Little did we know that when we were sitting in Sr. Cathriona’s English class, trying to dodge being nominated to read some Shakespeare, that year’s later I would be so lucky to photograph her wedding to Daniel.

When brides to be are communicating with me before a wedding, they very often they tell me that they aren’t really “photo people” and they don’t enjoy being in the limelight.  I totally identify with this, and they are my most favourite weddings to document.  I love when a couple are clearly mad about each other and I know that if I just give them a little bit of distance . . . we will get some amazing photos for them to enjoy for years to come.  I personally have a heart attack when people put a camera in my face . . . so I’m all about giving a couple some distance and space on their wedding day.  The only rules I give them are . . . you aren’t allowed to talk about bills or family antics!  That always gets a laugh 😉  Margaret and Daniel were photo pros by the end of their day and made my job super easy.

This Monaghan / Donegal union was a very happy affair and we got so many photos of families enjoying their day out together.  The Four Seasons Hotel in Monaghan put on a great spread as usual.  There isn’t any job that Barbara cant do.  Tell her I said that 😉

From St. Louis to St. Macartans Cathedral . . . come and see the journey xx
