Paula & Stephen travelled home from Australia for their New Year’s eve wedding Celebrations. I am always very excited on New Year’s eve . . . but I was even more excited this year. I think New Year’s eve weddings are a great idea. People want to celebrate the dawning of a new year, and they like to do it with family& friends . . . thus, a family / friend’s wedding to go to, is perfect! Paula and Stephen are a really relaxed couple and I was keen that my photographs reflected this. I needed not have worried. From the early morning wedding preparations in the Curry household, to the speeches, I was provided with ample opportunities to capture special candid moments of their day.
The wedding day started with the preparations in the Curry household. Paula has two sisters and two brothers, and I really enjoyed watching their banter on the morning of the wedding. The way they interacted with each other, reminded me of my own family. Paula is very close to both her brothers and sisters, but I had to comment on the sisterly code that these Curry ladies have. Throughout the day there were; secret hand shake combinations / fist bumps, little winks of the eye and even a random hip clink (is that even a real word . . . you’ll see what I mean!). Having a sister of my own, I understand the special place that sisters have in each others hearts, and the Curry sisters are poster girls for “sisterly love”. I hope I’m not gushing too much here, but I really enjoyed experiencing the strong bond between these ladies.
Only seeing these photies now, fabulous. Setting is stunning. Fantastic Vanessa xx.
